Learning Centres
The college has four Learning Centres in Buckie, Keith, Forres and Nairn, which are branded as SUFI Learndirect Scotland Learning Centres. SUFI is the Scottish University for Industry, who made possible the re-development of these Centres with a funding package along with the European Regional Development Fund, the Millennium Commission, and Moray Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise.
The investment made possible the upgrading of previous facilities into modern learning environments with access to a wide range of courses. With video conferencing, open learning and on-line learning, each Centre is able to develop a curriculum to meet the needs of the community.
The current curriculum at the Learning Centres is mainly IT based comprising introductory information technology skills training, the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) and the Advanced ECDL. A short course programme in IT training comprising courses such as introductory, intermediate and advanced Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint can also be delivered at any of the Learning Centres. First Aid training and Food Hygiene training can also be delivered at each Learning Centre.
As well as the learning opportunities provided at our Learning Centres, we also provide learning opportunities in Kingussie.
The college welcomes enquiries from individuals, businesses and community groups who may wish to use the facilities at any of the Learning Centres. For further details please contact the Accommodation Officer on 01343 576475 or email
