Introduction to Spreadsheets - Using Microsoft Excel enables individuals to learn the basics of creating and manipulating spreadsheets. There are no tests, you will learn at your own pace in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This course is offered at Moray College, Elgin or our Learning Centres at Buckie, Forres, Keith and Nairn.

Course Contents
The course involves a good introduction to Microsoft Excel. You will learn how to create a spreadsheet, add simple formulae and produce charts using Microsoft Excel. By the end of the course you will be able to use spreadsheets to create and monitor your own home accounts. The course is structured in a flexible manner in order to meet the needs of the student.

Entry Requirements
Computers for the Terrified or some IT experience is essential.

Duration
The course is offered either on a daytime or evening basis for a total of 20 hours. Daytime courses usually run for 2 hours either morning or afternoon for 10 weeks and Evening courses run one evening a week for 10 weeks.

Progression
There are many options for Progression. You can progress on to a range of courses within the Short Course programme or the Learning Steps programme. You also have the option to progress to the European Computer Driving Licence or the NQ Introduction to Computing and Information Technology.
