Aims of the Course
• To introduce students to skills in a variety of fine art media
• To help students develop skills in drawing, painting, surface decoration and photography.

Course Contents
SQA units at Intermediate 2 (SCQF Level 5.)

Entrance Requirements
Suitable for applicants with limited previous experience in the visual arts. Applicants will be required to demonstrate their desire to study art by producing a drawing about a given theme and by writing a short personal statement. Suitability for study on the course will be assessed at an interview during which an applicant’s capacity to gain from the course will be evaluated by course tutors.

Duration of the Course
Full time - 1 year.
Part time - 2 years.
