This new course has been designed for door supervisors already working in licensed retail and for those wishing to start work in the industry. The course comprises the following 2 units of 14 hours study per unit - Door Supervision: Roles and Responsibilities, Door Supervision: Conflict Management. An additional 1 hour per unit is required for multiple-choice examinations covering the basic knowledge and responsibilities of the occupation.

Those who successfully complete the course and pass the examinations will be awarded the National Progression Award (NPA) Door Supervision and can thereafter apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for a licence to practise as a door supervisor.

This nationally recognised qualification meets the requirements of the SIA.
