The Northern Creative Youth Project's virtual business incubator service is ready and waiting for you to explore!
If you have a creative talent which could make a great business, find the knowledge and support you need to bring your idea to life at www.incubiz.eu
The NoCry project seeks to encourage and support young people wishing to become entrepreneurs in the creative industries through the development of a Virtual Business Incubator service. This incubator service will nurture young talent providing specific support for the creative sector, it will spread knowledge, enhance networking and support business development.
Creative industries are now recognised as a key sector for economic development at local, national and international levels. This industry also makes an important contribution to cultural life within communities.
|
Due to many new technologies this sector has great potential for development in remote rural areas, supporting isolated communities, allowing people to work together over distances.
The NoCry Project, part-funded by the Interreg IV B Northern Periphery Programme of the European Union has partners from 6 countries. The project partners will assess the current availability of business incubator services to support young creative people and bridge potential gaps in provision. Their work will develop strong trans-national links and increase innovative activity, spreading knowledge, exchanging experience and best practice models between regions. |
| Key aims of the NoCry project: |
| Virtual Business Incubator |
The ‘hub’ service, which every aspect of the project feeds into. This will be the platform for networking, linking physical incubators and support services, enabling creative young people from the Northern Periphery of Europe to work together. The incubator will also provide learning opportunities, together with a Creative Commons service providing support regarding Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). |
| Technology Development | Development of the virtual business incubator service and experimentation with new kinds of ICT services to support creative youth in remote locations in joint-development and distribution of products. |
| Piloting and Networking | To test and evaluate new and existing tools for distance production and to enhance networking opportunities for young people in remote communities. |
| Knowledge and Support | To create trans-national, flexible learning opportunities at advanced and non-advanced levels, on-line learning and workshops to meet local needs will be made available, developing knowledge, skills and aptitudes for successful creative entrepreneurs. |
