The 2012 Science Festival will take place from Tuesday 20th - Friday 23rd March 2012 (Schools’ programme) and the Families Day will be on Saturday 24th March 2012

10am - 5pm at
Moray College UHI, Moray Street, Elgin.
The Science of the Olympics
Its a hands on interactive Science Festival aimed at Families and the Moray community and beyond, to come and explore the wonders of Science.
A fun packed day of messy hands on activities for young children to grandparents to explore Science.
The theme is the Science of the Olympics and this year we are looking particular at the Human Body.
With workshops on
Can you beat Usain Bolt’s time
How do Bones work - come and make some
Look at real lungs and get wet measuring your lung capacity
See the Screaming Jelly Baby
Be an Animal in an interactive quiz, dress up as the animal and find out fascinating facts about them
Design a boat - can you be the next Steven Redgrave
Design a crash helmet out of KNEX
Design an electronics kit and come and test your athletic performance
Sit on a motor bike
Become a Judo expert
and many more other entertaining events with talks and outdoor activities too.
